We are so excited to be carrying such special candles in our Boutique. We always love supporting local busisnesses with great missions around town but this one is pretty unique. Refuge for Women is a non-profit, faith based organization providing specialized long-term care for women who have escaped human trafficking or sexual exploitation. As the social enterprise formed by Refuge for Women, Survivor Made creates jobs, builds confidence, and deepens community engagement for women who may have barriers to employment. Their artisan, hand-crafted products are stylish, high-quality and change lives one sale at a time.
We currently carry several different artisan candle scents hand poured by survivors.
Survivor Made candles are made with soy wax for a cleaner burn with little or no soot. The soy wax is made from soybeans grown by American soybean farmers. Candles contain only soy wax and fragrance oil. No dyes are used.
Our Signature Collection is inspired by our Refuge for Women residents. Three things our Survivor Made Program brings to our Residents are a sense of Hope, Dignity, and Home. "I light my candle for the woman still out there, for the woman still struggling to survive."
